This year, National Libraries Week is becoming Green Libraries Week! From 2 to 8 October, libraries across the UK are celebrating initiatives focused on sustainability and the climate emergency.
Selected libraries are holding green-themed storytimes, so join us for stories about looking after our planet, recycling, weather and climate change:
-
Lower Earley Library, 10am to 10.30am, Tuesday 3 October (Places must be booked)
Libraries will also feature displays of books to follow the environmental theme. The teams in Wokingham, Woodley and Lower Earley will also be sharing information about climate stripes and displaying a frame donated by Cllr Sarah Kerr, executive member for climate emergency and resident services, which shows about how temperatures have risen from 1863 to 2002.
