On Sunday 1st December 2024, the Mayor of Earley attended the Annual Toy Run event, now in its 38th year, motorbikes rode in convoy from the Thames Valley Science Park in Shinfield through to Wokingham to deliver toys in aid of Barnardo’s and other children’s charities so lots of children will be able to receive a present for Christmas.
Speaking after the event, the Mayor said “It was great fun and an honour to take part in the 38th Toy Run along with the Mayor and Deputy Mayor of Wokingham and MP Clive Jones, we were part of a parade of 1,304 bikes, it was great to see all of the residents lining the roads and waving”.
