Last Friday, the Mayor of Earley attended the opening of the Undertwok shop on Wokingham Road.
Speaking after the event, the Mayor said “I was invited to the grand opening of Undertwok (pronounced Under Two K). Their mission is to encourage people to live on less energy – preferably under two kilowatts per day. Their shop is selling a range of solar energy generation and electricity storage devices. The building, once the well known Ward and Co. hardware and DIY shop from 1934 to 2002, now houses a collection of different “nooks” to enable them to create digital content for special media to get their message across to an international audience. I wish them luck with their mission.”
