Mayor Attends Opening Celebration of “Earley One Square at a time 2024” Community Patchwork

On Saturday 7th September, the Mayor of Earley attended the opening celebration of the community patchwork “Earley one square at a time 2024” at St Nicolas Community Centre.

Speaking after the event, the Mayor said “It was a real privilege to join our local MP, Yuan Yang and the Mayor of Wokingham Borough, Adrian Mather, to officiate at the formal hanging of the patchwork. This patchwork is the story of Earley in 100 squares of quilting and tapestry, with the community contributions all co-ordinated brilliantly by Liz Kerry.”

The patchwork can be seen when their office is open and on Friday mornings. Alternatively, if you would like to see it at another time, please contact [email protected] to arrange a viewing.
