Earley Town Council’s Planning Committee at its meeting on 6th June 2023 expressed considerable concerns over plans to build nine houses on Crockers, the site of an existing house in Rushey Way, Earley.
The committee are concerned that the application fails to demonstrate how nine houses can be accommodated on the site and that the number of houses proposed would create a cramped development, with inadequate access. Also, there are concerns in relation to the loss of trees and hedges that would visually impact neighbouring properties and the close proximity of the site to Hillside School.
The planning application (ref 221797) is due to go before Wokingham Borough Council’s Planning Committee on 14th June 2023, where Earley Town Mayor, Councillor Caroline Smith and Pauline Jorgensen, the Borough Ward Councillor for Hillside are expected to speak.
