Remembrance Sunday – November 14th 2021

The Mayor of Earley Councillor Anne Bassett and Deputy Mayor Councillor Tahir Maher attended the Remembrance Sunday service at Earley St Peter’s Church on Sunday 14th November.

The Revd. Dr Philip Hobday welcomed everyone and noted that due to the pandemic this was the first time since 2019 that people had been able to gather to remember those who gave their lives to serve their country and pray for those who bear the scars of conflict in our world today.

The Mayor laid the first wreath on behalf of Earley Town Council and the residents of Earley. This was followed by wreaths from the Church and other groups including the Guides, Scouts, Cubs, and Earley Air Cadets.
